Welcome to Sea Shelter, a comfortable and character-filled coastal home on a quiet, tree-lined cul-de-sac in York, Maine. A small pebble beach with deeded access is within walking distance, while the sandy shores of Long Sands and York Harbor Beach are just a short drive away.

With approximately 3,000 square feet of living space, room for up to 10 guests, and a spacious private yard, Sea Shelter offers plenty of room for families and friends to relax, gather, and enjoy time together. The home has been thoughtfully furnished and updated while retaining the warmth and character of a longtime family home.



Inside, you’ll find comfortable gathering spaces, a well-equipped kitchen, and multiple areas to spread out. The sunny family room provides a casual place to watch games or movies, while a separate sitting and game room offers another place to gather. A comfortable living room provides a quieter spot for conversation, reading, and jigsaw puzzles. On the third floor, a dedicated hangout space with a couch and TV gives kids and teens their own place to relax. There’s room throughout the house for family dinners, board games, or simply an unhurried day at home. Outside, guests can enjoy meals on the deck or lawn games in the spacious, fenced-in yard.



The bedrooms are thoughtfully furnished for a good night’s sleep, with Beautyrest mattresses and crisp percale sheets. The primary bedroom also includes a coffee and tea nook with a Nespresso machine, electric kettle, and supplies for enjoying a quiet morning. With a mix of king, queen, and twin beds, the house comfortably accommodates families and groups of up to 10.



Guests have access to Cow Beach, a small, privately shared stretch of rocky coastline within walking distance of the house. The beach is deeded to Sea Shelter and a limited number of neighboring properties, offering a peaceful place to sit by the water and take in the views of the coastline.



Sea Shelter is filled with original artwork, family antiques, and other personal touches collected over the years. Among the artwork are original watercolors created by the owners’ mother, many inspired by the New England coast, nature, and places that were meaningful to her.



Spend your days exploring York and the Southern Maine coast, relaxing at home, enjoying the yard, or walking down to the water. At Sea Shelter, there’s room to gather, space to unwind, and plenty of reasons to linger.
