Ideally placed for exploring and enjoying the varied nearby coastline and many beaches, attractive hills and forests for bird watching, fishing, picnics, sailing, cycling, walking and water skiing. The picturesque harbour fishing town of Kirkcudbright is just 2 miles away, offering a diverse centre rich in artistic heritage. Browse independent galleries, visit the local planetarium, enjoy riverside picnic spots or explore the selection of shops, pubs and eateries dotted throughout the town and there is a golf course, indoor swimming pool, library, medical centre, vet and electric charging points. The very popular Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities are one of the highlights of the year with varied activities to suit all ages. Beyond the town lies the rugged beauty of the Solway coastline. Visit Dhoon Beach (5.5 miles), a sheltered sandy beach or just 1.5 miles away The Cocoabean Company at Twynholm makes a fantastic visit, especially for families with children, with play areas and restaurant.


This detached holiday cottage is surrounded by mature gardens and trees with a lawn for children and pets to play on. The property overlooks an old tennis court which, in season, may be available free for guests to use at their own risk – simply speak to the owners to check availability. The private driveway has off-road parking available for up to three cars.


Inside all the rooms are conveniently arranged across a single level with a large hall ideal for dog beds. The spacious kitchen/diner is both practical and welcoming. The charming lounge features a comfortable sofa and armchairs gathered around the cosy warmth of an open fire, along with a TV/DVD for relaxed evenings in. A master double bedroom, a twin room and a bunk bedroom are served by a bright bathroom, complete with shower above bath.
