The Space:
The villa sits on the cliff above the Pacific, with folding doors and windows on several sides so the breeze and light come straight through. Outside, the big terrace has your private plunge pool, hammocks, sun loungers and a couch, with the waves of Zicatela in view.
Bedrooms: all three have air conditioning. The main bedroom has a king bed, its own bathroom and access to the back deck. The second has a queen bed and a closet area. The third has a double bed, a twin bed, a desk and a TV.
Bathrooms: the main bathroom has a large double sink and shower. The hall bathroom serves the living area and the other two bedrooms. There's also an open-air rain shower.
Kitchen and dining: a modern kitchen with oven, stove, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, coffee maker and blender, plus a dining table for six.
Outdoors: the backyard area is fully enclosed for privacy.
Extras: Starlink Wi-Fi, TV, washer and dryer, iron, hair dryer, safe, mosquito nets and beach essentials.
Guest Access:
The whole villa is yours, with self check-in. Along with your private plunge pool, you can use two shared pools in the common areas of the complex. There's 24-hour security on site.
The Neighborhood:
El Faro sits on the clifftop with Playa Bacocho, a quiet walking beach, to the west and the surf at Playa Zicatela to the east. Playa Principal is 10 to 15 minutes on foot, and the Adoquín, known for its shops and night market, is 10 to 15 minutes. The Rinconada's shops and restaurants are about 20 minutes on foot.
Playa Manzanillo, where you can walk straight into the water and snorkel, is about 5 minutes on foot to the top of the beach stairs. Downtown and the main grocery store are about 10 minutes by taxi, and the Mercado about 10 minutes.
Getting Around:
The airport is 10 to 15 minutes by taxi. Most walks around this part of town are flat if you don't mind the heat. Taxis are one block away and you rarely wait more than a few minutes. A ride within Puerto Escondido typically costs around 40 pesos. There's free parking on the street.

Other Things to Note:
We are located in a friendly and welcoming community and, although this is a holiday destination, it's home to other people. As such we ask that you respect their privacy and their right to a peaceful existence! Specifically, between the hours of 10 PM and 8 AM noise should be kept to a minimum. No smoking of any kind.
All guests are required to sign the rental agreement prior to their stay. A secure link will be sent before arrival, and completion is necessary in order to access the property.
Your stay includes 50 kWh of electricity per day. Any usage above this allowance will be charged at $5 MXN per additional kWh. Consumption is monitored daily, and meter readings can be provided upon request or if the limit is exceeded. To help stay within the allowance, we recommend turning off the A/C when leaving the property.
Hurricane season notice
If your stay falls during hurricane season, please be aware that storms can cause power outages in the area. These are outside our control and can happen at short notice. We're not able to offer refunds or partial refunds for power outages or other storm-related disruptions during your stay.
If severe weather or another natural event prevents you from travelling, cancellations will follow the cancellation policy on your booking. We strongly recommend taking out travel insurance that covers weather and natural events, as any claim for costs in that situation would need to go through your insurer.
