Kids race down the indoor slide in their very own bunk room, then everyone cannonballs into the backyard pool while the grill heats up on the patio. The private backyard is fully fenced, so the little ones roam free while the grown-ups lounge on the deck. When the sun drops, rack up a pool table showdown in the game room, then fall asleep at The Oak House, which sleeps 12, a short drive from downtown Charleston. Tomorrow, do it all over again.

Step out the kitchen door onto the deck and you are poolside: a backyard pool ringed by tall trees, with a lounge chair and umbrella for anyone who would rather read than splash. The pool is open April through October, so it is made for warm Lowcountry days. Under the covered patio you will find an outdoor dining table, an outdoor grill with all the grillware you need, and giant chess.

Inside, everything is on one level. The kitchen has a quartz island with bar stools, a stainless refrigerator with a large ice maker, a wine cooler, an electric range, microwave, and dishwasher, plus cookware and dishes for 12 or more. Start the morning at the coffee station with two single-serve machines. The dining room and living room sit right beside it, where a palm tree mural and a glowing neon sign set the mood and Roku smart TVs let everyone log in to their own streaming accounts. WiFi runs at 500 Mbps or better.

The game room is made for group nights: a pool table, a big TV, board games, and a wall-mounted Connect 4.

The kids` bedroom is the star: a bunk bed with two twins up top and a queen underneath, plus a spiral slide where your little ones climb up, sit down, and go again. The slide is for kids only, so grown-ups can cheer from the floor. Four more bedrooms have bold painted ceilings: the dark green room has a king bed and a private work space with a desk and chair, and the other three each have a queen. Every bedroom has a sound machine and earplugs so everyone sleeps well. Air conditioning, heating, and ceiling fans keep every season comfortable. Three full bathrooms keep mornings moving: one tub/shower and two standing showers. A washer and dryer handle the beach towels.
We want all guests to have a relaxing and enjoyable stay worry-free, so we do not have specific rules when it comes to trash, laundry, dishes, or checkout instructions. We kindly ask that guests keep those items tidy within reason.

There is no smoking or vaping allowed inside the home or on the premises. ($250 Cleaning and Deodorizing fee if smoke is detected in the home, and an additional cleaning fee of $100 if smoking-related trash outside is left behind by guest.)

This home is dog friendly. Up to 2 dogs are allowed per reservation. Please add your dogs to your reservation. A pet fee of $220 per dog will be charged. Undisclosed pets incur a $200 Cleaning and Deodorizing Fee if pets are detected in the home.

$200 Undisclosed Guest Fee for each person staying at the home that exceeds the guest list from the reservation made by the guest. The home comfortably sleeps 12; extra guests may be added to your reservation with host approval at $35 per extra guest.

All events held must be announced before reservation and permitted by the host. Host reserves right to require a security deposit when deemed necessary.

Quiet hours are 10 PM to 8 AM.

The brick fireplace is for decoration only and is not operational. The indoor slide is for children only.

The pool is open April through October. During both on and off-season we conduct regular maintenance to keep the pool in top condition for the warmer months.
