Toronto Don Valley Hotel and Suites

I loved it. It was clean, polite, quiet

The AC actually really is shit, just like the reviews I read before I went last week lol. But, I did read them, and still went. But, when you read it, it’s true. But the rest of the hotel made up for it

We loved the king size deluxe room!! The maid service and hospitality the food , the. Indoor outdoor pool!! Also all ready rebooked for the Thanksgiving weekend as the location is centre to both destinations for dinners!!!

The rooms were clean and well appointed. The buffet breakfast was lovely and very reasonable ($25+tax for two). I had a lovely swim in the pool. The location and price were good for us, as we were going to different places around the TGA.

Pool: The lockers had no keys, but some had locks. The pool was not crowded, and I had no valuables, so I just left my clothes in an open locker. Reception later told me we had to bring our own locks! I hadn't seen that before at a swimming pool, nor did the website mention it. Lockers with keys, or having locks available at reception would have been preferable. Insects (I don't know exactly what) bit us overnight twice. I don't attribute this to poor hygiene: the room was very clean. Just bad luck, I think. We reported this to reception before we left so the hotel could deal with it. There was no place to put our luggage except on the floor or the bed. (Hotels often have a stand or small table for luggage so it can be at a convenient height but not on the bed.)

Location

Aging rooms. Switches not working on lights. Fan not working in bathroom, poor restaurant, no room service. Unpleasant perfumed aroma on entry. Not sure if it was last guest or product to clean bath. But it was quite overwhelming.
