The breakfast was good but could have used more fresh fruit besides melon.
Maybe offer some hot things for breakfast like pancakes or French toast.

This was my third visit to Lamies Inn and Old Salt Inn. It's great place. It has an old school New England lodging feel with the comfort and conveniences of a modern hotel. Much better than a cookie cutter chain. The restaurant does a nice job as well.
I was told there are new owners now which always makes me nervous.
My advice to them is to please don't tamper with the successful formula that has worked for decades. That includes keeping the room rates reasonable.

The hotel is badly in need of refreshing: the chairs in the room are too large for the square footage they give you; the queen size bed - good mattress - had a finial missing, that is very tacky at what they charged per night; the should expand the TV capacity. The bathroom was too small. The door locking was antiquated
