Staff were very friendly and check on was a dream. Quiet at night. Buffet breakfast was a bonus.

Interesting hotel that has lots of character. Restaurant dinner was very good. Comfy bed.

Hotel is quite dated, but, you need to know you're signing up for that if you book here. Place is a bit noisy at times with creaking floors, doors banging. They close off a section of the restaurant for breakfast so it can feel a bit cramped.

Beautiful setting and lots of character in this historic building. Very easy to find and easy walking distance to restaurants and entertainment. staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the continental breakfast that was included in our stay - fresh food options - very nice

As ALWAYS, our visit to our "home away from home", was most memorable. Our long time friends come from Windsor and we all love meeting up at this beautiful INN.  The accomodations are lovely, pristine, comfortable and well appointed. Every staff member is welcoming and most hospitable. Jackie and Sarah added to our breakfast experience. Great personalities and made us feel like friends. The food was delicious and a perfect variety to choose . It is by far one of our favourite places to visit.

Staff of the Inn were friendly and professional, at check in and at the event we attended. Later, both the meal and the setting on the veranda were exceptional. And wait staff went out of their way to accommodate our group.

The room was outdated, there was dust on the blinds, and a weird smell from the air conditioner. The breakfast was also very disappointing - the selection was very limited. We were also quite surprised to be have a member of staff drop a $0 bill so we could leave gratuity - it was a buffet, we sat and served ourselves. Plus we had paid for breakfast as part of our stay.

Spectacular property. A little gem in the middle of the city. We loved it. The patio and porch are magical for the meals. It was like a step back in time. Love the breakfast, which was included. Staff were all so wonderful. I can hardly wait to go back.

Hotel was beautiful and very well located for a night away with my best friend. The beds were exceptionally comfy, the room was large and very clean. Unfortunately, the spa was closed on Monday so we were unable to get any treatments but we were aware of that. We truly enjoyed our stay at The Idlewyld Inn and Spa.

As a vegan (who noted this during booking), there could have been more options for breakfast provided.

The old world atmosphere, the exceptional kindness and competence of the staff, the quality of the meals and the high quality shower. The nice view from our room. The superb outdoor dining options. The beautiful front gardens. The excellent location in a safe area of town and pleasant community, but just minutes away by Uber from the centre and the university.

The breakfast is rather 'bare bones'. The food is good, but for instance, there is no possibility to order an omelet. There are no specialty breads/buns. And the sugary pastries are not really what one would ideally like at breakfast. But this is just a detail that does not detract from the overall, high quality of the place.

Fabulous restaurant , if your staying in the inn , book Dinner , it’s not to be missed .
