L'accueil chaleureux, l'ambiance sympathique et les aménagements confortables. Un B&B avec un grand espace pour la suite avec un poêle à combustion lente au bois. On se sent à la maison. Le petit-déjeuner est excellent. (Voir photo)

L’accueil était parfait. Malgré notre arrivée un peu tardive Alain était là pour nous accueillir et nous conseiller pour trouver un restaurant pas loin. De très bons conseils d’ailleurs. La chambre est très confortable avec un accès à une petite salle de bain privée avec sanitaires.
Le petit déjeuner était digne d’un grand hôtel avec du salé et du sucré et un smoothie fait maison. Alain est là pour répondre à nos questions et nous conseiller pour les visites. Possibilité de garer sa voiture. Je ne saurais que vous recommander ce gîte.

Great place to stay if you're planning to visit Shawinigam and Mauricie Nat. Park. Very quiet area. Alain is the best host ever, very friendly and helpful..we had really nice talks. Not to mention the refined breakfast he prepares!
Pity we couldn't try the swimming pool because of the weather, but I reckon it should be really nice and relaxing.
Overall I highly recommend this accommodation.

We, a young couple, were staying at Alains House for two nights and it was truly amazing. He is the perfect host: friendly, kind, helpful. His English is good to communicate about everything. The room is very clean and the bed is super comfortable. The garden with jacuzzi and swimming pool is really beautiful. The absolut best is the fresh and tasty breakfast. The location of the house is also very good: 5min (20min walking) driving to the river where the restaurants are. 25min driving to the entrance of the national parc.
Not only did we enjoy our stay, we also received a lot of helpful tips and suggestions for spots to go to from Alain. The stay at his bed & breakfast was surely an amazing experience we will always remember.

The room was spacious, with a private bathroom right next doors. The host is a very interesting man, who offers many complementary add-ons such as a delicious breakfast and a drink. Ultimatelly it was a very good experience for its value, and I'd definitely go back there again in the future.

We had a lovely time at this place. Alain is an amazing host who never hesitates to help his guests. He made us feel welcome and right at home.
Every morning alain - who is an amazing cook - serves a fresh home made breakfast.
We booked the suite, which was very spacious and clean. The outdoor spa is located in a beautiful garden. Ideal to relax at the end of a long day.
Besides all of this, the located 30 minutes from la mauricie national park. So an ideal location to visit the park.
We will definitely be coming back!

Chez Baza is the perfect place to stay if you want to visit Parc de la Mauricie (or Shawinigan). Alain is the most amazing host, welcoming and attentive to his guest. The house is beautiful and peaceful, with a swimming pool and a jacuzzi where you can relax after a day of hiking in the Park. The room is huge and comfortable .. And the breakfast delightful! Strongly recommended!

Extraordinary host, very friendly, very large space in the lower part. This was not just a room in a B&B, but like our own appartment with a big living room! Everything was very clean and neatly decorated. The air is purified by a circulation machine. The breakfast is lovely, with a smoothie and good strong coffee. And we also had a nice welcome drink which we enjoyed next to the pool. The bedroom itself is also very big and we could sleep wonderfully there.
The only(!) detail which was not perfect is that the house is a little clairaudient. For us, this was not a big issue, but we wanted to mention this.

Alain is a wonderful host and goes the extra mile to ensure his guests are happy. This included a cocktail served in his hot tub, arranging restaurant reservations and even extending an offer to join him and his friends for an evening meal. We booked the suite which was very large and took up the whole of the footprint of the property and furnished very comfortably. The pool and hot tub in the garden was a lovely place to relax after a days hiking. Breakfasts were varied, thoughtfully planned and delicious.
Not a problem for us, but breakfast was served at a mutually agreed time with the other guests and more reserved people may feel uncomfortable eating breakfast with strangers. Marked down the location purely because the walk into town passed the wood mill was not the most picturesque.

The place is very very clean, and reserved, and Eilan the host did everything to make us happy. Breakfast was prepared according to our special request, and it was very helpful for us. Thanks!
The shower and toilet are private but outside the bedroom. It is not possible to prepare food or drink at all. We lived with the owner of the place so there is a little less privacy.

Room was very spacious and beautifully appointed, it was wonderful to spread out a bit after so many hotel rooms. And my legs appreciated spending time in the spa tub after a day of hiking in beautiful Mauricie National Park!! Alain is a great host, he's hilarious and a great cook, too. Plenty of excellent restaurants in Shawinigan for the evenings. Really a lovely spot to stay for a couple of days!

Great host, met us when we arrived with a little drink and the stove lit. Beautiful room, very spacious but cozy and extremely comfortable. The breakfast was also delicious and made for a time we selected. It was a great experience!
A little off the beaten path, but a good location if you are hiking around the area.

Beds were comfortable, breakfast was really great and we met some really nice people while having breakfast or a drink with the owner. Alain is a great host! Thank you!
More of an FYI, but make sure to read the description or send a message to the owner before to confirm if the jacuzzi or the pool are open. I did not see before coming that it was only seasonal use even for the jacuzzi.

Alain, our host was very congenial and fun to be with as well as an excellent chef. Our accommodation was downstairs, exquisitely decorated and about 1500 sq. ft.

Thé owner was very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious. There is a lovely backyard with a pool and spa where guests can socialize with other guests.
The property is not close to downtown.

Alain was an excellent host, he was always there to make sure we were as comfortable as possible.
Even coming down in the early hours of the morning to add more logs to the fire!
One of us was gluten intolerant and Alain went absolutely above and beyond to provide gluten-free meals which was an absolute dream.
If you're looking for a place to recharge the batteries with a person that gives 110% to make sure your stay is as best as can be, then I can't recommend Alain enough.

The host, Alain, was really kind and attentive to his guests' needs. He greeted us with a nice little cocktail in his stunning backyard. He really enjoys taking good care of it, and you can see it. We also had our own private parking spot, so no worries with parking.
The bedroom and private bathroom were both very clean and well organized.
We were able to enjoy the spa outside, which was hugely welcomed after a day spent hiking.
The following morning, we had a delicious breakfast while enjoying a nice talk with Alain.
