The hosts are very knowledgable about the area, with lots of info about things to do and see, as well as interesting stories about the region’s history. Breakfast is exceptional and features live fiddle music!
The rooms are a little small, especially the showers, but still very comfortable and clean.

We arrived very late due to unforeseen circumstances. The owner waited for us and showed us to our room. During this time he also provided details about next day (breakfast time etc.) and inquired about our preferences for the breakfast (vegetarian, vegan, if any allergies etc).
The breakfast was outstanding, with many things homemade by the lady of the house such as freshly baked bread, and four or five kinds of jam.
We had frittata as the main course.
There was classical music playing faintly in the background.
At some the host gave us a presentation of Port Hood and surroundings, supported with photos on a laptop.
They do a great job promoting their town and Cape Breton in general.
The host provided us with good advice on how to make the most of the day ahead of us (we went on Cabot Trail on that day).
I hope we will have the chance to come again in the coming years.
We had a brief stay - nothing bothered us. It was really nice.
Maybe the entrance from the road could be improved: we almost missed it at night.
