Above Tide Motel

We absolutely loved our stay at Above Tide Motel. Paul the manager was just fantastic! Always cheerful and very helpful ,he gave us many great ideas that really ensured that we had a brilliant time at Campbell River. The Motel overlooks the sea / Campbell River .. it was wonderful to wake up and go to bed looking at that beautiful view. Having a big balcony was also a great bonus. The Motel is not new and shiny but the bathroom and kitchen are very well appointed with quality glasses, plates etc as well as a full size refrigerator, oven and microwave. The bed was very comfortable and all linens were good quality. Paul and his wife were always near by when needed... we enjoyed their cheer and thoughtfulness. We came to see bears fishing and autumn colours and forest.. thanks to Paul's help we experienced the very best of everything we wanted.

Have been coming here for numerous years. always friendly staff. Always very clean. View and balcony are the highlight.

The room view was spectacular looking across the water toward Quadra Island and the mainland. It was a good base to travel to Elk Falls, the fish hatchery and other hiking options. We witnessed black bears at the fish hatchery feasting on salmon...

It was good value for the money.
