Holiday Inn Express New Orleans Downtown by IHG

The breakfast was good and the location was perfect for what we were in town for. Easy to get to the places we wanted to go, even with the incident that interrupted our visit. Congratulations to the staff for working with the guests after the act of terrorism.

There was not much more they could do, considering the circumstances that were presented to them, but they handled it like professionals and made it a lot easier to deal with.

It was a short walk to bourbon street and canal street and the river walk and aquarium. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious.

The beds were too hard for my liking tho I can live with that. My friend stayed in a different room and the first room she was put it, the door had NO locks what so ever. Not on the handle nor on the wall. I feel there should be mandatory checks for that kind of stuff after each person’s stay because that is a safety hazard. She was given another room but that is still a safety hazard. The soap dispenser on my sink was almost completely off the wall. Again, stuff like this should be inspected by someone after every person’s stay has been completed

The location was in walking distance of alot of places we went. There was a fridge and microwave in the room. The AC worked really well.

The rooms were really small. The beds were hard and the pillows were terrible (they deflate as soon as u lay your head on it). Water leaked on the floor when I took a shower. The lighting in the room sucked. My bed was made up with the same sheets all three days.
