We stayed here the day before our cruise left San Francisco, and the location was perfect. It's very easy to find, just off I-80 and Highway 37. The property is very nice and seems pretty safe, considering the area. The continental breakfast was a bit heartier than you usually get too.
Vallejo is sketchy, no matter where you stay. That's about the only negative I can think of.

Every aspect of our stay at the Hampton Inn at Vallejo was excellent. From check in to check out, it was a pleasure to stay there. The room was extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable. There was an exceptional attention to detail to enhance our experience which certainly helped after an extremely long journey. The swimming pool and hot tub was very clean and there were towels for guests and plenty of sunbeds and even three cabanas. The breakfast exceeded our expectations which helped set us up for our onward journey. Overall, this inn is highly recommended by us.

I asked for a room cleaning and they could not accommodate. It was in a horrible area.
