The Meritage Resort and Spa

The staff were exceptional and very professional. From the valet to the registration staff, everyone was very accommodating making my wife & I feel very welcomed.

Room was great, staff was very helpful and nice. The resort is Beautiful.

The drinks at the bar with the bowling Alley were very overpriced. I paid $69.00 for a glass of wine and a mixed drink.

The property was decent, but it didn't really feel like a true resort—it felt more like a standard Marriott. It's located within a cluster of other hotel properties, and one of the pools was closed because that section of the grounds was being sold off. On the plus side, it was close to town and we had a lovely view of the vineyard, though the bed was far too soft for my liking. The water and wine in the room was a nice touch along with our room with a balcony.

There was a conference at the resort during our stay, which created an awkward dynamic. While walking to the pool, I overheard one of the attendees say, "They don't belong here"—which was frustrating, especially since regular hotel guests likely paid a higher rate than the conference group. The resort gave no advance warning about the event, nor was there any signage separating the conference spaces from guest areas. Additionally, I booked this hotel for the pool and the photo were very misleading and made the pool area look far nicer than what it actually was.

I love that the Blue Note Music series is here and you can stay and enjoy.

The adult pool was over crowded on Saturday, you could not find one seat and the pool was way overcrowded. It was unuseable. Also the adult pool only has one unisex bathroom near the pool. They need to rebuild that bathroom area and create a shower and dressing area for women. That lack of an area to shower and just get dressed and do your hair after a pool day is not acceptable. If your staying at the resort you can use your room for this but on the day you check out if you want to use the pool there is no place to change or get ready for the the rest of the day. Please update this area, it needs it.
