The rooms are comfortable and good size, great beds and nice shower. Good connections to Manhattan and the area has gone through some urban regeneration and is nicer than some years ago.
Maintenance on AC/heating needs improvement or renovation, very noisy, poor indoor air quality. Fridge noise was also an issue. So take some ear plugs while you "get used" to the noisy appliances. The building vibrates with the metro trains even in the 10th floor.

Location and staff were great.
Absolutely appalling price gouging. I understand demand/surge pricing but almost $1300 for two night at aloft is madness

A convenient hotel more fairly priced than Manhattan options. The bed was great, shower too. And very clean. Perfect location to access metro. Downtown Brooklyn has undergone soe urban regeneration and this hotel now is close to new shops and is a good option.
It takes a while to get used to the noise, from hearing the metro even 10 floors high...and the noisy fridge.
