SpringHill Suites by Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront

The Breakfast was Excellent loved the choices of food and everything was quality food. The location was great the parking needs more space for handicap parking . I was very pleased with the room. The mattress was a little uncomfortable I was sinking in on the side that was close to the nightstand probably because that was where most lay. Time for a new one maybe. I will definitely use them again.

My mattress was sinking in a bit uncomfortable. But I was sitting or laying on the side where most people lay so it probably had been a little worn and needed to be changed out. Other than that, I loved everything about it. Oh, and I didn’t like the fact that the Jacuzzi was next-door they didn’t have an indoor Jacuzzi.

Location, perfect!!. Staff were friendly. ( we appreciated the lady at breakfast showering us with compliments! 😉) Hotel and rooms were neat and clean. Pools were great! Bartender at The Dunes bar was super nice and her coconut margaritas, perfection! Hotel is close to all the shops and restaurants, oh and beach front was the best part. Definitely staying here again in the future.

We were on bottom floor in king suite with large patio, people tossed dirty socks, trash and cigarette butts down while we were out there trying to enjoy the view* no fault of hotel but of the guests above us.**rude** We had booked on booking.com* we expected one price online that said included taxes and fees, upon checking in, There were fees we were not aware of that we had to pay and the total was not what booking.com gave us. (150.00 more) Ice machine on our floor was broken, went to 3rd and 4th (no ice) . So we had to keep going to front desk. Luckily staff were amazing and got us as much as they could. Few hiccups but we will definitely stay here again.

Our room was at the end of the floor and our balcony apparently had the blower for the AC unit blowing HOT air the entire time while we tried to enjoy time on the balcony. The door to the balcony was so hard to close especially from the outside. I booked this reservation in February after a great start last year and the quality wasn’t what it was last year. All the elevators weren’t working. In May a new rule was stated that charged for parking in the garage. Didn’t have that last year. And $25 a day? To park in a garage with signs saying I had to assume all responsibly. The food at The Dunes wasn’t very good and overpriced. The breakfast (which was included in the price) was cold and by Friday there were no forks? Really? Overall the quality and value has dropped dramatically. Not sure we will choose this location for next years vacation.
