Duck Inn Lodge

Room was comfortable and views of the river were very pretty The oversize bath tub was great Fireplace in the room was also great and warmed up the room very quickly but you can't control the temperature , its either on or off

TV was very small The Lodge is ready for an re-do. Everything is dated and worn. Carpets are worn and don't appear clean Lighting in the corridors and bathrooms is very basic and not particularly welcoming. The neighbor across the river has string lights along the roof line that shine all night and even with the blinds in the room closed, the light still came in, which was irritating when trying ti sleep.

Quiet location off of the main road. Easy entry using a key pad no hassling with a check-in. Nice layout for breakfast.

It's a contactless property, so they just text you a code and your room beforehand. No front desk hassle, which gives it more of a B&B vibe. The breakfast in the morning was also great. Huge balcony overlooking the river and we watched ducks finding dinner. I was traveling with my son and thought he would get a kick out of root beer waiting for him in the fridge. They did it no problem. He felt pretty special. The interactions I did have with the person working there were fantastic. Very personable and attentive. Our room was very clean. It has an old school Montana vibe that I loved and wish there were still more places like this. It's a little bit off the beaten path but still close to downtown. Very quiet at night which was appreciated after a long day exploring.

If you're looking for a resort experience in the heart of the action, this probably isn't your jam.
