Amazing stay! Way better than expected! The hotel is so cute and comfy. The front desk staff are great and wonderful. When I messaged them before, they were very responsive and answered all the questions I had. They went above and beyond to do something cute for my best friend's birthday. The room itself was very comfortable. The bed especially the pillows made me feel like I was sleeping on a cloud. The location is great and super central to everything. They also provide umbrellas just in case it rains (it rained sporadically during our stay). I would definitely stay here again!!
Everything was good

Attentive, courteous and friendly staff
This is the second time I’ve stayed at this property a few years back the attached restaurant and Bar was open this time that same attached restaurant and bar was closed. Hopefully it’ll open soon.

Great location. Excellent coffee in the morning.
Weird photo collection of a bunch of Republicans. And very strange picture of Hugh Hefner - a despicable man - on a free card. Please find better humans to highlight.

The location and the staff were the best part of the hotel. It was very cozy and decorative inside, plus the hotel has a history to it too.
I didn't like that they didn't have parking, however there was a parking garage right across the street that you can park at overnight. The rooms were also a bit tiny.

the bed and pillows were heavenly. the staff were amazingly friendly and accommodating. central location easily walkable to everywhere downtown. would stay again. for being on a Main Street, it was really quiet. slept fantastic.
the shower curtain didn’t overlap the tub so the bathroom was a giant puddle after showering. the sink stopper wouldn’t stay up so I had to hold it up while using the sink.

Comfortable and interesting decor.
Nothing in particular. The cost was too high for the amenities offered.

The staff is exemplary. The location is good.
The hotel has two significant defects: (1) It has no restaurant, not even a cafe. Admittedly there is a lot nearby. (2) The building is old and decrepit. The HVAC doesn't work worth a damn. We had to open the window and get a fan to get the temperature down.

Everything! But the staff is what makes us come back again and again. When we come to Portland this is the only property we will stay at. The service is beyond great!
There is nothing not to like at this hotel. May seem hard to believe in this day and age but it's 100% true!

The location, staff, and offerings were absolutely excellent!
I would stay again in a heartbeat, if it weren't for the bathroom - it was possibly the worst shower I've ever had! The noise from the neighbouring bathrooms were so loud that we were woken many times during the night by the toilets flushing.

Best: staff (welcoming), climate control, and convenience to Powell's and some other places I wanted to be near to, although this part of Portland seems sketchier than I remember.
Worst: my room's view - sides of bldgs only; no sky no people, nothing. I get that this crummy view is a natural result of the shape of the building and the one stuck up against it, but it would have been nice know this beforehand, or at leadt to be offered an alternative. Also, poor shower (shower head needs replacing). Bottled water in room was $7. Annoying old funk and disco music blaring in lobby was another prob. Also, a better snack counter in the lobby would be a nice touch.

Cool vintage vibe with lots of amenities
Could see drug use going on down on the street right below our room

Located at Portland Downtown. The hotel made a nice gesture to greet us with some chocolates and champagne for our anniversary. Friendly staff. Clean and spacious rooms. Would definitely visit them again.

From the moment we arrived, we felt taken care of. It was a last-minute plan to get away without the kids and celebrate our birthdays that had passed without much fanfare. Life gets busy!
There was a cute token of appreciation waiting in our room to say Happy Birthday from the staff. The night manager, valet, and porter were attentive to our every need.
The next day, we borrowed a couple of bikes, and upon the recommendation of more excellent staff, we took off to explore the City of Roses. We checked out a Craft Beer festival, the Waterfront Blues festival, and plenty of history and architecture.
The nightly happy hour, a handaome variety of board games, old-time pinball machines, live entertainment, and photographic art show throughout the hotel were some of the highlights.
Now, the bed and linens were super comfy, the temperature well regulated, blackout curtains, housecoats and slippers, ice bin and bottle opener, TV, and coffee maker made the room nice and cozy as well as an actual closet to lay out your luggage and hang up your clothes. Did I mention the safe and the fridge?
Thanks for a wonderful stay - We will definitely come back!
Well...the bathroom has no fan, and thankfully we were familiar with each other so being able to hear what was happening in the bathroom was easily mitigated by turning on the TV, or going out to the lobby for ice 😉 .
I was skeptical of the glass shelves in the bathroom, but they proved to be sturdy. Maybe a tiny upgrade for a cabinet would be an idea if it was in the budget.
Oh...the bikes were super fun, but being 5'2", I found I was pedaling on my tippy toes and was a bit tender not being able to lower the seat. 🤭
We borrowed a Well Kit, but unfortunately, it was missing the tablet with the workouts. I was still able to get a couple of yoga workouts in the comfort of my room. Cleaner was supplied to sanitize for the next guest.

staff was great. clean and nice artwork
we were charged a $29 amenity fee- which we called to check in and we’re told it was for the pinball machines and complimentary coffee and beer. we used none of those and were charged. assuming everyone gets charged the same. That is very disturbing!!

good location, comfy bed.
small room with claustrophobic bathroom. Noisy HVAC. expensive parking, although there is a cheaper parking garage across the street. a bottle of water is $7.

Great location, charming facilities, parking easy, within walking distance of attractions, restaurants, culture. It's clean, quiet, safe and eclectic.
I missed having the restaurant on the premise. I understand the chef retired...to bad. I tried the room service options, but apparently, I was not in the correct time frame for service. Used the AI concierge to make reservations at Janken and the reservation wasn't received by the restaurant....fortunately, they seated us anyway. Paige was very helpful with other matters though.

Location. It is right in downtown Portland.
Location. Since it is in downtown Portland, so many weird people were around. We went outside in the evening and went back to hotel as soon as possible.

My coffee machine did not work the first morning which is always a bummer.
