the bed sheets and pillow slips were thread bare and wrinkled. I could literally see my hand through the cloth.

If you need a spot to sleep on the way to somewhere else it is a welcome respite.
I wouldn’t have stayed here other than to sleep the night.

There was no one in the office to check us in and give us a key to our room at 3pm. We waited 2.5 hours for the manager/owner to arrive. No explanation or apologies were offered for our long wait on a very hot summer day.

The park next door to walk the dog was the best thing about the hotel and the location. The beds and pillows were comfortable.
Room smelled. There was damage to the ceiling above the shower—maybe that is where the old moldy smell came from? The shower curtain wouldn’t stay closed—the shower rod is installed incorrectly. The window blind doesn’t close all the way. The breakfast was lacking choices. And the guy hanging out making sure he watched, not assisted, the guests was odd. The dog fee is not listed and seems to be whatever fee they feel like charging at the time of check in.
