I booked the last room available, seemingly in all of Temple, bc I am traveling for work and had to finally stop and rest. The man at the front desk tried to charge me well OVER MY RATE that I booked the room for and then when I began to question why he all of the sudden shut the window and said he would not give me the room. And I am a working single mom, so I also had my child in the car with me! We had to go all the way to Killeen to get a room, bc we just kept driving down the highway and EVERY HOTEL WAS FULL. So I don't know why this man turned us away at 1:00am in the middle of the night, after one - I called to confirm the booking, and two - he had the nerve to try to charge me $135 for the room! When I booked a price specifically through your website. I was and am furious and baffled.

I was disappointed that the entrance to the room was through an interior hallway. A downstairs room was requested and agreed to online. At check-in I was informed that only upstairs rooms were available because all the downstairs rooms were taken. However, for an extra charge a downstairs room could be provided. It became obvious that the hotel was by no means full. Give the desk clerk kudos for making an extra buck.

desk staff was friendly, gave us a nonsmoking room and told us Booking.com get the bottom of the barrel rooms so don't use them...I would never book a smoking room so that is pretty disturbing. I'm going to pay closer attention when using Booking.com

noisy, pillows were like trying to sleep on a rock.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Snacks available in the lobby. Good movies on cable. Mostly quiet.

Sorry to say, pillow cases were dirty so slept on top of the covers for this reason. It looked like someone had dropped cig ashes on one of them. Whatever it was wiped off. Could not get comfortable after that. Was very tired and not there long enough to make an issue out of it so I just rolled up my jacket for a pillow. Maybe it was just a one off from that room on that day?

The fact that it was close to the venue I needed to be at.

I liked the price. The bed was comfy. Wifi worked fine.

The entire hotel smelled of stale cigarette smoke. Two of the four pillow cases had black spots on them. The room next door had a TV remote that was paired with my TV, it would randomly turn off and on. To get my remote to work, I would have to unplug the TV and plug it back in. The fridge froze my beverage and didn't have controls to turn the temp down. The hot water was not very hot.

It was clean

Staff was weird and even after I checked out they were calling me telling me I was late checking out and that I had a dog in my room when I didn’t , I wasn’t even in. The room I left a hour before check out . So I didn’t appreciate the staff basically telling me I was a liar . I probably wouldn’t go back the price and what you get for it doesn’t match
