Beautiful we would go back in a minute. Breakfast was good the property was beautiful and clean. We will be coming back

The breakfast was quite varied and there was something for everyone; juice, water cereal, hot food like eggs and breakfast potatoes, muffins and bread. Coffee and tea of. course.

My wife and I travelled from Florida to Iowa and had several stays. Whilst the breakfast here was quite varied and one of the best we sampled, that doesn't necessarily mean healthy. Most places also use disposable plates and cutlery to keep costs down and profits up, which isn't so good for the customer.

Pool was great. It's so big and clean. The rooms were clean, even for the pet rooms. The AC was cold. The shower was hot. The breakfast was amazing.

I just wish we could have had more time. And a booklet of local menus and pizza joints in the area.

I liked the entrance and surrounding areas on the first floor. From the hallway, the pool looked nice but I didn't actually go in the pool. I liked the style of the decor in the sleeping area of the room. The television was large, which is unusual for a hotel. The pillows were also ok. I really like the new vinyl plank 'wood' floors. They're a nice update. It's obvious someone is working to renovate the hotel and many of the updates look good.

I didn't like the lack of an elevator for our room. I didn't like how far it was from the lobby. The woman that cked us in was patronizing. We were exhausted and for some reason I seemed to amuse her. Once we got beyond the lobby and lobby hallways, I noticed the carpet was filthy. It smelled bad as well. Once we finally found our room and went in, the room had a terrible odor. We had to open the windows and turn the AC on high to try and get some fresh air. The bed was hard. The coffee bar was dark and unusual. The bathroom was just ok. It had sanding dust on the vanity top and paint drops on the front of it. When I pulled a kleenex from the metal container on the wall, the entire apparatus fell out in my hand. The bathroom had just been redone, but still seems dated. The fixtures had rust on them. Also, our phone did not work. I could not call the front desk with some questions we had and we didn't want to walk all the way back to the lobby. The smell made the room feel and seem dirty. We left first thing in the morning. We didn't even stick around for the complimentary breakfast. We didn't address any of these issues because we were too tired.
