Close to the beach

This is a great old school place to stay in Santa Cruz. You can't get closer to the beach, we could walk in our wetsuits and be in the water in five minutes. Sits nicely on top of the hill above and removed from the busy street. Staff were friendly and helpful. We will return.
The room was basic but fine, we researched a lot of places so knew this was an older property. For the location it can not be beaten but like everything in Santa Cruz it's expensive for what it is. We appreciated the cleanliness and the staff.

The mattress was hard. It would be better what the mattress cover to is the hardness.
