The Rigdon House

Allocated a beautiful king bed room with balcony overlooking a seating area in the back yard. Spacious and very clean. Facilities were excellent, full use of a kitchen area, supplied, tea coffee fruit all complementary. Happy hour with music was super, 2 free cocktails each.. top quality. Staff were superb, friendly and most helpful when we need to resolve an issue with our hire car. Very impressed and would recommend to all fellow travellers.

I loved the proximity to Main St, for the local shops and restaurants. It was a very short drive up highway 1 to Moonstone Beach, which was a big bonus! David, the front desk, was such a warm and welcoming young man. He gave us a tour of the place, and some history of the house. Very cool info, too! The room was extremely spacious, which was nice for a very tall couple like us (we're both taller than 5'11). We stayed in room 21 which was the king suite. It has one king bed, a sofa sleeper, fireplace, and mini kitchenette (frig, microwave, coffee maker), a cool art deco table with small side chair, and another table with 2 chairs. The bathroom was very spacious, too, as it is made for people in wheelchairs. Overall, the room was very nice. It was quiet, and I'm a light sleeper so I brought my sound machine. But, the fact that it wasn't a loud area made for a nice stay! We also enjoyed the live entertainment that was featured Friday night there. A young man, Joey Benjamin, sang and played his guitar while my fiancé and I enjoyed the free mocktail (we don't drink alcohol anymore) the hotel gave. It was so nice sitting around the fireplace in their little bar and lounge area with others staying in the hotel, too. Listening to the music and all, it was a great time! We would definitely stay here again!

Only thing was, the bathroom sink was a little dirty still, and the area rug carpet had some chips on it still from previous guests.

Simply beautiful

A make up mirror in the bathroom would’ve been nice

The staff was great. Location was great.

The room was run down.
