Red Lion Hotel Eureka

Very clean, spacious, and comfortable for our whole family.

The room was clean and comfortable.

The property itself was clean inside but the grounds were not kept up very good.

Good location for quick, easy access to the 101 North or South.

It is an older hotel—no one’s fault—just older so things are a bit more worn out. Power access is that of an older hotel etc. There used to be a restaurant there. It needs one.

Hotel had plenty of parking and the room was okay, as was the coffee in suite.

We had requested early check in and received a reply that it was approved, but when we checked in the Front Desk Manager stated that she had never received the request or sent the approval. She asked how we made the reservation and when we told her it was through Booking.com she said that they handled the request without the Hotel's knowledge and that we should have booked the room directly. After some discussion she did let us check in early, as it didn't appear they were very booked. The room was very cold and the heater worked well, but the thermostat did not seem to work well, it would make it so hot it would be unbearable and it would need to be turned off manually. The breakfast buffet did not offer much selection.
