Escapes! To The Shores Orange Beach, A Ramada by Wyndham

When I say this place was amazing, that's an understatement. We traveled 6 hrs from Louisiana to come here, because the photos of this place were beautiful and it fit our needs, but the photos showed no justice. It was much more than we expected. Everything was perfect. The room we chose was exceptionally clean and spacious. We were amazed at how many grills they had on the sitting area outside, the indoor pool, the sauna and steam room. If i could rate this place at 20 stars I definitely would. We will be returning next year and many more after that. I would definitely recommend this place.

Great location!

It could’ve been cleaned better. The bottoms of our feet were dirty very quickly. I won’t mention the person‘s name that I talk to, but I had a couple questions about the parking pass and trying to get in the room, with the door code and the woman was very short on the phone calls.

We had an event to be at at 5pm and asked to have earlier check in before our day of arrival. No answer. On the day of arrival when I ask again .., I Was told I would be notified as soon as my condo was available. We were at the facility just in case , from 2pm on. At 3:53 pm I asked if we were even going to get in at 4pm . At 3:55pm we were told our condo was ready. I have to suspect that the room was ready before that time for how else could I have been notified so quickly? We had to really rush to unpack and get ready. For that reason , I will look for another place next time. We have visited Orange Beach 3 years in a row and everyone else was able to accommodate us. The unit was a pretty nice place and convenient. But it was not exceptional enough to use this facility again, especially in light of the the way I was treated. Just a little put out for a 4 pm time of admission. Most paces are 3. Then instead of 11 it is 10am departure. Although early , that was ok with us , because we normally get up early. Nevertheless, communication was not good. This is the first time - out of very many places I’ve been to, that there was little to no effort to accommodate an early check in. And this early check in was more important because I had already told your representative that we had an appointment at 5pm. It’s as if your representative was purposefully making a point of not accommodating my request.

I like the easy access to the beach and indoor pool.

The first night stay the a/c wasn’t cooling efficiently. The next day, I had to call maintenance doing the hours of operation. I repeatedly explained the issue before a technician came to diagnose and fix the cooling issue. The $50 parking pass that’s required per vehicle is pointless when it’s a parking garage and vehicles can’t exceed height 6’8.
