Clarion Inn Grand Junction Airport

Room was easy to get to. Breakfast is always great. Staff where breakfast is served were great and kept all of the filled so we didn't have to wait on any food items. Person who checked us in was very helpful and willing to help out where he could.

Only item that didn't work correctly was the TV remote. You had to take the batteries out and place them back into the remote for the TV to be able to work properly. Only a minor issue easily corrected.

I was disappointed to be charged to keep my car there for a few days …it was not like that in the past …and why if I booked a room trough the hotel then it is free …why?satisfy with room , service and breakfast

Breakfast was decent, and the room and facilities looked and smelled clean enough. The beds were comfortable and the climate control worked well.

The entire hotel is horribly run down. Staff weren't real friendly and the woman who checked us in literally lied to us - for some reason telling us that there is no shuttle service to the airport. The desk clerk the very next day confirmed that there is. The door to our room was stuck (seemingly from paint or something?) to the point of barely allowing entry. When we finally got the door open we were greeted by flickering and lights and a general state of unease. The room, once accustomed to it, was actually comfortable enough, but it had the feel of a run-down motel 6 on skid row. The following evening we were locked (from both keys) out of our room upon returning from a long day and had to walk around the bldg to the check-in desk to get in. This gave us the opportunity to see just how run down and poorly maintained the entire building is- both inside and out. The exterior building doors bang loudly enough to wake other room occupants when closing. Everywhere you look are clear signs of neglect and sub-standard attempts to keep the place operational. The whole atmosphere is one of apathy or ambivalence rather than a welcoming retreat. Very disappointing for the price. We will not be back.
