Comfort Inn - NYS Fairgrounds

Great value for the money, the breakfast was good, location was awesome, staff very friendly

Bed wasn't too comfortable

It was close to our route of travel. Easy to get to. Was surprisingly quiet for being next to the thruway. I also felt secure knowing that you had to use your room key to access the outside doors 24 hrs a day, not just specific times. The reception staff person was great .

No negatives for me.

Breakfast was simple but very nice most people don't need anything more than what you provided, was very happy with it. Ice machines available. Parking, came for the Syracuse nationals and had to park a trailer along with several others and there was plenty of room.

Location to nys fair was very good.

The condition of building was bad. First thing we notice was outside building needed cleaning, green mold growing on wall. When entering a secondary doorway there was a large hole in cieling and looking at it, it had been there awhile. At our room door you had to push very hard to open it and to use the deadbolt you had to push your body against it to lock the door. We then noticed screws both in and out where the problem had tried to be addressed. Also the door next to us had two straps across it , probably for similar problem. Inside the room was peeling wallpaper and in the bathroom couple of holes not patched well, splitting paint on shower ceiling and a toilet seat that moved all around. Let me say again that our room was clean and staff were pleasant.
