Super 8 by Wyndham Traverse City

The room rate was reasonable, in comparison to other facilities in the area. I requested an accessible room with a walk-in shower. The room was very accessible. The young woman that checked me in was very friendly and helpful. When I tried to extend my stay for an additional night, she could not extend it, but made a note for me to check in for an additional day on the day I wanted to extend for. She told on that day, that there were no rooms available and apologized. She later came to my room and told me that there was a room online matching the room I was staying in, and that I could book it online, which I did. Even though I don't understand why she couldn't just reserve the room for me, I appreciated her efforts to help me out.

The facility needs updating. The rooms open to the outdoors, not a hallway. The door locks did not feel very secure. The front desk was not staffed all the time. The person running the desk was also running the front desk at another motel across the street. The motel is on a very busy street and the noise from the street is disruptive. The breakfast is strictly continental, with a limited selection.

Availability. Staff was able to accommodate a room change upon check in, as the initial reservation was made in error.

Nice new beds were very comfortable. AC worked very well.

The toilet in our bathroom was very close to wall. Hard to sit properly.

Not much to choose from location was good
