Very convenient to area attractions

The property was clean but just appeared to be older, and could use some cosmetic updates

The location was excellent, perfect for my needs. I didn't have to wait long for the shuttle, which was parked outside and always ready to make the 5-minute run to the airport. The staff was small, but cross-trained to do multiple jobs (including driving the shuttle!) which made them efficient. And they were always friendly and helpful to me.

A minor issue: The latch on the door from the hallway into my room was a bit tricky and reluctant to open on my first attempt. A housekeeper saw my struggle and offered to help. Even then, it took her a couple of tries before the door cooperated. Fortunately, it never balked on my exiting the room!

I had reserved 3 nights through priceline for a funeral in Iowa City. When I called to change checkin to only use 2 days, they said "we can't help you, call priceline". I called priceline who only gave me an option to pay 3 nights but cancel and make a new reservation. When I called back to the desk, the lady NOW said Oh you shouldn't have done that - they could have sent an email - something she NEVER mentioned in my first call. SO I bought 2 more nights (total of 5 nights!) so that my friend could stay and attend the funeral. The desk lady at Country Inn and Suites was very unhelpful, and I paid for 5 nights, when all I wanted was 2. If anyone there wants to refund me SOMETHING, that would be decent, but all I got was a fairly impatient lady, and I feel very ripped off by the situation...it made a time of loss even tougher.
