Shoreline Inn...on the beach

Beautiful location right on the beach, 25 yards from the surf. Sunset, the waves crashing. Nicely landscaped. Fire pits. Perfectly clean and maintained.

Wasn’t crazy about the pillows… a bouncy synthetic.

Stairs were difficult for me

The property’s proximity to cafes and shops made for a low-stress, no-drive, relaxing five nights. The upstairs oceanfront room ensured cool breezes and views of the fire pits for an evening aesthetic. The room was cozy and shower was a welcomed respite from the salt crust after hours of surf-play. We didn’t even turn on the TV as we had our own real-time reality show from the balcony (and soothing noisemaker for sound sleep). And don’t know how the hotel arranged it (ha ha) but two seals frolicked about 20 yards from the shore each morning right in front of the hotel property! The staff was absolutely super and took great effort to welcome us and respond to a myriad of questions. Well done Shoreline team!

Location is perfect. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to reunite with friends from 50 yrs ago.

It started with booking. Our original reservation was directly through the hotel. We called looking for a group rate. We were told there wasn’t one. Then we were told if we mentioned that we were meeting a group in the reservation they would group our rooms together. They did not mention that if we mentioned meeting up with group, they would slap a 90 day cancellation policy on us. So no benefits for being a group, just a penalty. As we were booking 300 days in advance, we quickly cancelled and rebooked through booking.com w/o mentioning we were part of a group. Then upon checkin, we had to agree to a whole assortment of rules. As if we were frat boys that intended to party for three days. One of the rules was “no amplified music”. Please define amplified. While sitting by the fire pit, watching the sunset (still quite light outside) we turned on a single speaker. It was not loud. It was not AMPLIFIED. It could barely be heard over the crashing waves. We were confronted by “security “ we apologized and asked if there had been a complaint. Answer was “no, it’s the rules and you signed the rules upon checkin”. Our group could totally understand no “amplified” music after dark. And we would certainly understand if there had been a complaint. Neither was the case. Please make note, we were a group, 5 couples, of 70 year olds that all met in 1976 when we were 20. 50 years ago. It was a great reunion. But we were not a problem.
