This is a family run business which makes it a much more personal experience. They were very accommodating with anything we needed.

We love this place!
We came back after years especially to fresh up memories since the time we used to live in the area. The owner of the place are just wonderful and the night with Jazz in The side door ( next to place) was the reason we came to this very unique place. The Jazz Brunch on Sunday morning we enjoyed a lot too! The rooms are lovely and you feel a little bit like coming home. We have to come back during winter to light up the 🔥 fire in the room.
The breakfast in the morning is just muffins and the or coffee. We would prefer some toast, butter and Marmelade, but that was just the only small thing I personally missed.

jazz, check in time limited to 2:00-4:00 seemed unrealistic and when we arrived at 8:30 pm Friday it was not an issue although unnecessary extra work to keep them updated on our eta via email then texting

The Old Lyme Inn was charming ,friendly staff, great location.
Our room was dated and worn although comfortable. When we mentioned it when checking out. We were told It was the next room to be remodeled and that many of the rooms have already been remodeled. The room should be left empty until remodeled and updated.

Breakfast was good, especially for my husband who has no allergies. I need gluten and dairy-free food,
and occasionally I am pleasantly surprised when it is offered. The Old Lyme Inn did not offer these options, but then again, I did not tell them ahead of time about my allergies, so my bad! I instantly liked the owner, who met us when we arrived and showed us to our room, which I loved. It was spacious and comfortable with a roomy private bathroom.

The staff was great and very helpful and it was very peaceful and relaxing. If you are looking for a little getaway from the kids lol this is the place to be at. Can't wait for the warm weather and try it here again and also the Jazz Culb there was the best

This is a classic New England Inn . shear perfection. A wonderful staff , complimentary breakfast, English Tea, full bar /dinner … plus a terrific Jazz Club . I have totally enjoyed everything about this experience.

The warm friendly welcome from Lesley and all the Ladies at the front desk. The Old world charm and beautiful surroundings were a welcome site after leaving the hustle and bustle of NYC

Loved this family owned, quaint, warm beautiful Inn. First trip since the Pandemic for a weekend get away. It felt as if I was immersed back to the 1800’s- beyond charming. Great to relax and destress at such an awesome place!

Great location near the center of town and easy highway access, but the road noise wasn't audible inside the room. Room was really large and well-appointed. Staff were friendly and the hotel was very quiet and relaxing.
Room was a bit musty (to be expected in an older, historic inn) so I would be cautious if I had allergies. Some of the furnishings could use updating but we were comfortable.

The location of Rt 95 was great. The staff was so helpful and friendly. It is just a great place.
The bed made a lot of noise. I don't know if it was the mattress or the bed frame. The couple we traveled with had the same problem.

My boyfriend was so pleased with breakfast and stuff, they upgraded our room with TV, it was playoff games in that time!!!

The food, atmosphete, etc were great and the staff is so very friendly and helpful. We were welcomed by Tosh who cpuldn't have made us feel more at home.

The Old Lyme Inn is easy to access from I95, in a wonderful town, is very gracious in it's furnishings, and was great for a short-stay. Upon our arrival the fireplace was going in our room, and we fell welcome and cozy. The bathroom was large, and deluxe. Nice bathrobes, in-room coffee, and all the fancy touches. We had dinner in the in-house restaurant, and enjoyed the bar. The next morning - Sunday - we enjoyed the brunch. The Inn staff was very welcoming and friendly.
The room was a bit dark - basically two lamps in a very large room. The Inn is quiet after 10pm - no full-time staffing of the front desk or services. If you're happy with quiet, you will love it! Just don't go looking for late-night food or drink, or service. It is all shut-down after 10pm. In lots of ways this is very nice.
