DeSoto Beach Bed and Breakfast

Our inn keeper provided homemade breakfasts using imported butter, cheeses and made delicious Belgium waffles. Fresh fruit, eggs and sausage and bacon along with delicious coffee and juices made a great start to the day. He also had an afternoon tray with cheeses, crackers and salami slices. The inn was centrally located and an easy walk out onto the beach. We were able to take stunning sunrise pictures. Our inn keeper was very knowledgeable regarding Georgian and Scottish history as well as information on area sites. Loved his Scottish kilt, and the inn's decor.

We really did not have any complaints. There are stairs that were not a problem for us, but might be more difficult for some travelers.

Almost beachfront! Easy access to the ocean. The pool is a nice amenity. Innkeeper Rick provides a lovely breakfast along with a history lesson!

Immediate access to the beach was closed so we had to walk a short block on the street to get to the next access point.

The suite was roomy, quiet, and very comfortable. The inn keeper was exceptional. He was quiet in his work. He was very friendly, polite, and wanted to serve. He was full of knowledge about the local area and its history.

The parking was kind of tight. We were glad we didn’t bring a larger vehicle.

I don't know why this place is getting 5/5?? The B&B is where we were supposed to be but asked to move to the hotel because it was dreary and our room, which was called the Butler room, was exactly that ..a hole in the wall. There was a small 32-inch tv . Stuck way up on the wall. The shower was in a weird shape. The pictures look nothing like the B&B they must have been AI enhanced. Everything was old and dingy. There is no view of the ocean.

The hotel is old like a Days Inn. It was dirty. Had to wipe the dust and grim off the countertop, the microwave was never pulled away from the wall to clean behind it. The carpet has dust all around the wall, and the vacuum only ran through the walk area.. The shower spigot was broken, and the tub was rusty. The room is a good size.It looks like they may have done some upgrades. The pool is nice and has easy access to the beach. The housekeeping staff is nice. The breakfast is not worth leaving your room for. There are elevators but not at the B&B. I travel a lot for my job and this is not what I was expecting for the money.
