The location was very convenient, on Route 1 with easy access go Portland, Yarmouth, and Kennebunkport.
We stayed at the Kennebunk Inn 37 years ago on our honeymoon. At that time, it had a bustling restaurant, was a hub of activity for the locals and was brightly lit. The vibe was lively and exciting. Not today. The building is dimly lit, there is no owner on site to make guests feel welcome, and the restaurant is closed. In fact, only one person was sitting in the reception area, reading a book, and didn’t seem all that interested in getting us checked in.

Plenty of free parking. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location. Good value for the money. Dog friendly. Restaurant/bar on site.
It’s a historic property, so you have to wait for hot water to reach the 3rd floor. The stairs and floors creek and there is no elevator. None of this was an issue for us, but others might want to consider these limitations before booking.
