I absolutely love the Jolly Roger Motel. The staff is so nice and kind. The pool is beautiful; the lobby area is full of reading materials; the Avalon coffee shop is great; their bagels are delicious. And the location is great - right around the corner from the outdoor Wednesday night concerts in the summer.
Possibly the rooms could be updated.

Everything was amazing. Staff was attentive, rooms were clean as was the pool and the entirety of the hotel. Close to the beach.

The 1960s-style decor is fun, and while there are newer properties in Wildwood Crest, this one is very clean and well-maintained. Free coffee is available all day long, the staff is knowledgeable and upbeat, and the pool and barbecue areas are impeccable. Parking is more than adequate.
The music by the pool plays a little too loud and too late into the night (in September), invading quiet rooms long after everyone has stopped using the pool. Perhaps the music was still on a summer schedule when daylight and warmth last past nine o'clock.

Location was nice. The pool was nice.
There were a lot of things not cleaned recently. In the room and lobby. Hotel has potential.
