Sugarloaf Mountain Motel

Friendliness of the staff. It was late in the day so they drove us into town so we could get to a restaurant before they closed. They were closed so they recommended another returaunt.

Location was great! We were there to watch a band, and didn't want to return to Reno at night. Plenty of clean towels. Happened to be up early in the morning and there was a beautiful sunrise across from the motel. Also ran into (not literally) a wild, yet docile, horse just across the street from the motel (he's known to the locals but clearly wild; the motel owner said he hadn't been seen in about a year). Easy walk to downtown where all the activity was, but far enough away that it was very quiet at the hotel.

I provided a list to the motel owner. She received it very graciously. The list included new bed pillows (4 total) as the current ones were worn down and insufficient for sitting up against. The mini-split was broken so they'd provided a large (and somewhat noisy) portable AC. After cooling down the room, we turned it off and opened the window a bit. We also suggested adding some sort of a bench to the bathroom as there was almost no room to place personal toiletries. I didn't suggest it then but realized a covered duvet would be nice instead of a bedspread, (as the duvet cover could be removed and washed).
