Surf Motel and Gardens is in a great location and the property is attractive, with a lovely garden and nice looking buildings. We always appreciate single-story motels. Given the high prices for lodging in the Mendocino–Fort Bragg area, this place was a real bargain. The staff was nice and responsive, we appreciated having a breakfast room with various choices, and our room was perfectly fine for the price. We’d be happy to stay there again.
Carpeting could use upgrading, but it’s not horrible.

The property, the management and the staff were fantastic. The grounds were very clean. My room was very comfortable and clean. They also check in early and give me a late check out. 😁
The only problem I had was with the TV. It needed to be reprogrammed because of the previous tenant.

Convenient location
After checking in, I had to wait outside my room for 25 mins while the maid cleaned the room. It was past check in time.
