I booked online with Booking.com. Desk clerk did not read the email I sent ahead of time asking for a lower level and advising I was traveling with pets. When outside, he made a scene that I had my dogs and charged me $20 per dog which was not included when I reserved online. Booking.com showed that fees MAY apply and I believe that the fee was exorbinant.

Very clean, and in good condition. Quiet. Friendly staff. Good breakfast.
Mattress was a little harder than I cared for. The entry doors (not the lobby ones) were a little beat up and in need of paint, so gave a shabby first impression, but the hallways and room were very nice and in very good condition.

Holiday rates seem to be double what the hotel is worth on normal days. Breakfast could be upgraded when the price goes up. There is no elevator so carrying luggage upstairs is a chore for someone my age.
