The booked room was a little cramped so we upgraded to a larger room with kitchen facilities. location was just over the bridge from Johns Pass with the tourist shops (very expensive) and a few bars.restaurants and boat trips if required. The beach was literally 100 yards away and it was possible to hire beach chairs etc.
No Ice machine on site but trays in feezer substituted. Some restaurants along Gulf Blvd need a car which does restrict drinking/driving. A bus does pass each way every 30 minutes so this is a bonus if needed.

Retro-style motel in excellent location. Very nice pool. 2 min walk to beach. Located right at base of drawbridge to Boardwalk area. Can walk or bike over. Comfortable king size bed. Shades kept rooms dark at night.
No exhaust fan in bathroom, TV could be updated to larger one.

It was close to my event.
I go there and they have a plugged in heater that was running. I don't think plug in heaters are safe in such a small space. To me it's unacceptable and a fire hazard but they didn't think so. I was not offered another room until 20 min after I told them I was checking out and signed out. I had already made other arrangements by then. It's a shame because they didn't not offer any compensation. I understand the weather is unpredictable but they should have informed me the room was going to be heated by a plug in heater.
