Will say, if I hadn't booked this room online I would have drove past and not even slowed down. I was surprised at how the exterior and surrounding property looked. I went ahead and checked in to at least look at the room. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean the room was and that it had been updated at some time. Everything was clean, and the bed was comfortable.
Was also nervous when not long after we settled in I heard a train whistle. Looked out the bathroom window and realized there was train tracks right behind the hotel. Not sure why, but that one train was the only whistle I heard all night. Did hear some low rumbling as trains passed by but just that one whistle.
Wish an ice machine was available. Ran to a local convenience store and paid more for a 7# bag than I normally spend on a 20# bag of ice at home.
