Farmstead Inn and Conference Center

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was wonderful, very friendly. The breakfast had a wide selection of items, was good and plentiful. The location was fantastic. We were able to walk across the street to the Shipshewana Flea Market and next door to the Menno-Hof Mennonite-Amish Visitor Center.

Decent place to stay. Good breakfast. Great location .

Checking in was a nightmare. Booked through Booking.com a month or more a head of time and paid in full for a 3 night stay. Got there and they were going to make us check in one room for the first evening of our stay then checkout by 11:00 am then check back in to another room by 3:00pm for our other two nights. They blamed us because we booked through Booking.com but that had nothing to do with it. They had a big amish convention there and they over booked and they wanted us to pay the price . I refused and wouldn't budge and they finally made it work where we didn't have to check out our room after the first night. It was very stressful to say the least and shouldn't have never happened . I don't care who we booked through. If we paid for 3 nights then we should have 3 nights and not have to check out and re-check back in the middle of our stay. I have never heard of anything so ridiculous. Definitley will be going back to the Blue Gate Inn. Been using Booking.com for over 15 years and this was the first time we have ever had an issue with an hotel we booked through them. I will still continue using Booking.com ! This definitely was an hotel issue. Be careful booking this hotel .

Need raised toilets for the "oldsters". Carpet needed cleaning or replacing.

Stayed here many times location is great!

Checking in staff was not real friendly asked up spilt the room charge she informed me they don’t do that anymore wasn’t very nice about it
