Overall a lovely place to stay. Mattress was a bit firm for my taste, but others will like it. The breakfast was good. Bacon too overdone. But again, my preference. I'm sure others like it that way. It was quiet, roomy, and pleasant. The staff were nice and helpful. Worth the stay.
No major issues. Just my preferences on this vs what was there. Not my taste, but some will like it as is. Can't really complain about anything.

Very clean and well kept.
Not a lot of parking, night staff was great but morning staff was grumpy.. the young guy who answered the phone from the front desk did not sound nice on the phone and the older gentleman who was refilling and cleaning the breakfast seemed grumpy as well.. but he did do a good job cleaning up the breakfast area.

I was in town for cancer treatments. Because of my age, limited mobility, and cancer pain, I asked for a lift chair or at least a recliner be brought to our room. Young man at desk said he'd check into that. Crabby lady at desk jumped in and said "this ain't no hospital hotel." Seeing I was wheelchair bound, young man was so sweet. He moved us to the first floor in an off street room for more quiet and comfort. What a sweetie he was. What a crabapple she was. I mean, it's Gundersen Suites on Gundersen campus. What was I thinking?
