The room was great. Very updated and clean. We did not stay for breakfast but enjoyed our dinner the night before. Server was extremely busy but very nice and competent.
The lobby staff were not very friendly or attentive. Also, I knew ahead of time from the reviews that there would be cigarette smoke from the casino, which was unpleasant for the lobby and restaurant also.

Room and bathroom were very small but the bed was super comfortable and the shower had the best water pressure ever experienced in a hotel.
Not fond of entering through a casino and prefer a first floor room.

It's an old, historic hotel/casino. The walls are covered in memorabilia. The rooms are a bit small by modern standards, the beds are typical of a budget motel, the plumbing is elderly and a bit unpredictable. In other words by modern standards it would not rate too high. But that's not why you stay here. There are plenty of impersonal modern hotels in town. This is for the guest who has a sense of history.

The Cafe food was excellent
We could hardly turn around in bathroom, bed was old and lumpy, smelled of smoke, no fridge or microwave in room, not as pictured by a long shot

"The room we stayed was absolutely wonderful! Incredibly clean, a nice view of downtown (main street?), really nicely decorated, no cigarette smell in the room, and a SUPER comfy bed and fluffy pillows..."
