The apartment was very well equipped-washingmachine, ironboard, beachtowels, extra towels, all necesseary kitchen utensils, extra blankets and so on. Matresses looked brand new. Lovely pool which was cleaned every morning. Helpful and kind security-man at the gate. Loved the trendy little restaurant Refresh about 150m from the apartment -they had the best pizza! Recommend to have a car - supermarket Chez popo was about 1,5 km away ( the one in the neighbourhood wasnt to good). Perfect parkingopportunities at the residence -covered by roof and secured by a gate. Two choises of beach in walking distance. Trou aux biches was lined by palmtrees -looked like paradise. Mostly tourists there. Mont choisy beach lined with casuarinatrees ( i think?). More lokals there made it more interesting. Music, singing and a little Market one of the days we were there. At christmas eve we had the christmas gala dinner at Casuarina beach resort and spa. That was excellent and i really recommend it! The segashow with dinner at Coral azur hotel was a big disappointment. Right across the road from the apartment is Mont choisy beach club - for 500 rupi one can spend the day there ( and eat and drink for the amount payed to get in). We had a lovely time in our apartment and hope to come back again sometime!

La résidence Abrico est très agréable , calme , propre et avec une belle piscine .Elle est bien située à coté de deux magnifiques plage .

Véritable cocon on se crois chez sois, la bienveillance et l’accueil de nos hôtes nous mettent dans de bonnes conditions dans un cadre paisible que je recommande

Appartement suffisamment grand pour une famille de 4 personnes. Très bien situé à 5 minutes de la plage de trou aux biches. Proche des arrêts de bus. Résidence calme, bien entretenue. Nous n'avons pas profité beaucoup de la piscine (sauf les enfants plus courageux 😉�) car la piscine non chauffée est un peu froide à cette période de l'année... Également très pratique, 2 club de plongée juste à côté. En somme nous avons passé un très bon séjour!

Very comfortable apartment fronting the pool which we all enjoyed. The apartment is very well located to nearby shops and to the lovely beach. Transfers were organised for us as were car rentals and everybody we dealt with were very nice and helpful.

When we arrived at Abrico apartments and were big shown around by Eileen, I have to be honest, our hearts sank! This apartment has does not appear to be have been ‘newly renovated’ as advertised! For a start, the door on the 3rd bedroom locks automatically, Eileen did warn us about this but I misunderstood what she had said and closed the door behind me one day to find it had locked. We spent a frantic 20 minutes trying to pick the lock when we found a key on the light switch in the 2nd bedroom which unlocked it. This has all sorts of safety implications that I’m sure I don’t need to explain There were dirty marks all over every wall in the property, broken furniture, dirty curtains and voiles, there were stains on the bed covers in the 2nd bedroom and everything just generally looked and smelt unclean and seemed old There was no wardrobe in the main bedroom, which wasn’t so much a problem for us as we used the wardrobes in the other rooms but if the other two rooms were being used that would not have been possibly The top of the toilet in the en-suite had been broken in several places at some point and glued together which looked really shabby, the toilet roll holder was broken and the tap was really loose The main bathroom looked dirty and old. The kitchen looked like the only part of the apartment which could possibly have been renovated but in my opinion this would have been some years ago. There was no hot water available in the kitchen sink and the utility area looked really dirty. I intended to do more cooking than I did as I couldn’t face using the facilities. One evening we were greeted with a cockroach on the kitchen floor, which scurried behind the units when we appeared. Whilst I realise cockroaches are unavoidable in hotter climates it was just another thing to add to our list of disappointment The patio area was reasonably nice, although the furniture was a bit dated and there was a broken light on the veranda This property did have a few good points. A good location, there was good water pressure for the showers, a good hairdryer provided, good air conditioning in the main bedroom, a nice pool area, English plug sockets had been fitted throughout which was of benefit to us being from the UK, there was always parking in a shady spot available and it was in a good location Whilst we understand this property was cheap and we were not expecting 5 star luxury, we were expecting clean and furniture and fitting that weren’t broke

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'appartement et sa situation. La plage de Trou aux biches est tout près de la résidence et celle de Mont Choisy tout à fait accessible à pied. Il y a 4 ou 5 restaurants à côté de la résidence, le ménage fait 3 fois par semaines est vraiment appréciable, la piscine est très sympa. L'appartement est bien équipé et a tout le confort nécessaire. Le gardien de la résidence est une personne en or, qui nous a beaucoup aidé et renseigné ! Tous les autres intervenants ont été très agréables avec nous. Nous recommandons sans hésiter ce logement dans lequel nous avons passé de magnifiques vacances ;-)

Nous avons été très heureux de passer 9 nuits à la résidence Abrico. Jeannine a été très attentionnée et nous à mis à l'aise tout de suite. L'appartement est spacieux et nous n'avons manqué de rien. Le ménage effectué tout les 2-3 jours est un plus. La piscine est propre et le quartier calme. Nous garderons une pensée particulière pour le gardien de la résidence qui est adorable. Situé à proximité immédiate de plusieurs club de plongée et de la plage. l'accès à la plage de Mont Choisy est faisable à pied (5-10 minutes de marche). Le centre de trou aux biche est proche (20min à pied ou 2 arrêt de bus) ce qui n'est pas gênant après un bon repas dans les restaurants du centre. Globalement, cette appartement était parfait pour nous (famille avec 1 bébé de 2 ans) et le rapport qualité/prix est très bon. Nous conseillons!!!

Tout d abord l accueil parfait , Janine sui nous indique l 'epicerie et le restaurant typique et très bon L' appartement très propre ,le menage est fait 3 fois par semaine ,l appartement est tres accueillant ou tout est à proximité : la plage est à 50m entre la plage du trou aux biches et celle de Mont Choisy Lors de notre prochain sejour;nous reviendrons dans cet appartement Christine et Jean Marc

Jeannine was very kind, waited for us when we arrived and provided all the info we needed, and offered help, but we did not need it, since everything worked perfectly. The neighbours were quiet, mostly families or older couples. you may use two beaches, Trou aux Biches or Mont Choisy. We preferred Mont Choisy, it is more than km long, in a bay, has good facilities, lots of food stands, natural shade, great for swimming. We drove all around the island and agreed our choice was the best. The NOrthwest is not windy and has less rain than the South. If I went to Mauritius again, I would choose the same apartment

The watchman was very helpful in giving advise, and he brought the children gifts and coconuts to taste. We were sad to bid him goodbye when we left, and we promised to return one day. We rented a car from Grand Baie (they brought it here for us, and also picked it up again at the end of our stay), and drove around most of the island. Nowhere were the beaches as pretty as here, never have we been as lucky to find the perfect spot on an island. We rented glass-bottom boat for snorkelling on several occasions, just on the beach. The best time was early in the morning. The kids loved the L´Aventure du Sucre (Sugar factory and museum), especially with all the tasting, and we bought lots of different types of sugar to bring back home. The Bois Cheri tea factory was also worth a visit, we are still drinking coco-vanilla tea that we brought back home, dreaming of our wonderful Mauritius summer. Our mornings were spent breakfasting on the porch - french style with baguettes, cheese and jam. Again we always had the place to ourselves. We truly hope to be back soon.

We arrived late at night and were greeted by Jeannine who manages the unit. Wonderful lady who can't do enough to make sure everything is ok. We spent a glorious two weeks with just two of us but there is enough for six adults room. 3 bedrooms, two with air conditioning - which does the whole unit. 2 bathrooms with a small laundry and kitchen - all self catering with great appliances and décor. As we have extensive family - there was no problem for visitors. Plenty of fridge and freezer space. The wifi was great as were the numerous TV channels. We found this a very safe and well managed property. At 6pm till 6 am there is a night watchman who went out of his way to make sure I had fresh coconut juice for our Rum. He gave lots of advice of places to visit etc. We hired a car and there was ample car parking under cover and had access to keys to come and go from the secure gates. Our unit had a lovely outside sitting area with stairs leading straight to the outside pool area which has an area for children and adults. The pool was well maintained and pristine in cleanliness. The Maid called Margaret was perfect... honest, friendly and so helpful. The location is wonderful... quiet and away from the hustle and bustle. There are many eateries and restaurants within short walking distance and the bus route is on the door step. Across the road is a money changer and a few small boutiques and shops. We walked to the Troux aux Biches embarkment point in just a few minutes and in the opposite direction is Mon Choisy - OMG the best pristine beach and again within walking distance. I would recommend hiring a car to get to La Coisette where shopping is amazing and you can buy all your purchases for self catering. Also Troux aux Biches has shops not far away either. I would recommend this lovely place to people with children and friends who just want a home away from home to do as they please without the hotel limitations. Wardrobes all had keys to lock up and there was a safe as well. Plenty of storage room for suitcases, clothes etc. Speaking of Hotels.. just a 5 minute walk away is the Coral Azur Beach Resort where we had a great Sega Night - best on the Island. I cannot speak more highly of this accommodation and many of my family in Mauritius have had family and friends stay here from the UK, S. Africa and Australia. Loved every day we had there and were sad to go. I would recommend this lovely unit to anyone who wants a home away from home.

Fabulous modern holiday apartment in a great location.Very clean and well maintained, with all facilities provided, including direct access to a beautiful pool. Maid service and night time guardian were a pleasant bonus. Lots of restaurant options. Only a short walk to the beautiful Trou aux Biches or Mon Choisy beaches. A short drive or bus trip to the popular touristic destination of Grand Baie and shops. The friendly owners greeted us on arrival, were attentive to our needs and provided us with lots of local information. Definitely would stay here again and recommend this villa to all.

We had a wonderful 7 night stay at this apartment. The apartment was fully equiped with everything that we needed. The pictures on the website do not do justice to the place. Nice little verandah and pool on doorstep and easy access to the beach. Will definately return.
