Our family of 13 (8 adults and 5 children) enjoyed our week at Fripp Island. The home was just the right size for us. The 2 golf carts were very helpful as there was limited car parking for some of the Holiday activities that were held during Thanksgiving Week. The golf cart parade and Breakfast with Santa were highlights for the kids. Chris was very communicative and easy to do business with.

The home is exactly as described and well appointed for a week at the beach! Chris the owner is the consummate professional and responds to all inquires promptly. Great home with everything one could want or need for an enjoyable week at the beach!

The property was very nice! It accommodated 13 people very well. The golf carts made it easy to get anywhere on the island and the ice machine made my day!

The Fripp House was perfect for our three family group. Convenient to the beach, pools, and eating on the island. The house was well equipped and spotless. The pictures on VRBO did not do it justice. The owner was very responsive and easy to work with. Definitely our favorite on Fripp.

This home was perfect for our extended family of 6 adults and 5 kids under 12 with plenty of room to spare. The location was just a quick walk/golf-cart ride to the beach, and quick golf-cart ride to both the cabana pool and marina. The owner was easy to communicate with and very responsive to any minor issues we had. Would definitely stay here again!

The kitchen could have been better equipped. Especially Needs casserole dishes and wine glasses. Have stayed in homes with much better equipped kitchens. Also struggled to find places to store our groceries.

The Fripp House was attractive, spacious, and accommodated our family of 15 well. The weather during our stay was unseasonably cold, which meant we were not able to enjoy the outdoor spaces or the wide variety of available outdoor activities (including the golf carts), which was disappointing. We did do some exploring, and were amazed at the number of deer we saw. We decided we would definitely enjoy coming back to this area at another time, as there was clearly a lot to do. The property was tastefully decorated with a great floor plan and design that served our family well.. We did have some housekeeping issues, which we have addressed privately with our host. None of these should keep others from considering this property. Overall, we had a very positive experience.

The Fripp House was a beautiful place for our large family gathering. The location was perfect. Chris was responsive to our concerns, and after looking at other reviews, we determined our stay must be a one-off in terms of supplies and house preparation. While these are all small things, these should not be missed in a luxury rental such as The Fripp House. Hand soap dispensers in all the bathrooms ran out on the first day. Some bathrooms didn't have soap at all. No bath soap was supplied in the showers. Only a small container of shampoo and conditioner, which only lasted one shower. Chris did offer to have soap brought to the home after we inquired. The home is equipped with a washer and dryer, but laundry detergent isn't supplied. Towels are supposed to be washed upon departure, but there was no detergent. We definitely didn’t mind doing a load of towels, (and we definitely needed to since only one towel per person was supplied for our 4-day stay), but we didn't know to bring laundry detergent and none was supplied. It required a trip to the store. We planned to grill out a big meal, seeing a grill was listed on the amenity list, only to discover a heavily soiled and rusty gas grill with no wire brush or supplies to clean it (we searched high and low). The propane tanks were also empty, but Chris did reimburse us for the cost to refill one, which also required another trip to the store. Chris mentioned that the grill is not required to be cleaned between guests. Maybe an oversight on the check-out instructions, because a clean grill on arrival is typically an expectation in a rental such as this. Based on our past luxury vacation home rental experiences and what we wish we had, we would recommend the following items be replenished in this rental at every turnover: More than 1 slotted towel per person Full soap dispensers at all sinks Multiple dishwasher tabs Dishwashing liquid Tide pods for laundry Beach towels Bean bags for the Corn Hole boards on site Upgrade toilet paper (not 1 ply) Additional paper towel roll (only 1 roll) Grill cleaning supplies with grill cleaning requirement added to check out to do list. Propane level checked prior to check-in Whether it is a "nice to have" or a "need to have" all guests would appreciate these items during their stay. The little things mean a lot. Aside from these supply issues, our stay was wonderful and a good time was had by all.
