About the Amathyst, I want to say that, even though the place is a bit outdated, the rooms were very clean and comfortable, and for me, that's an A+. Great location, 8 minutes walk from the train and 5 minutes to the boardwalk, and the front office person, Teressa, was wonderful.
The only negative thing for me was the TV. No Netflix and not many channels to watch, especially if you feel like staying inside watching a good movie. Otherwise, I would definitely go back.

It was reasonably priced and well located.
Their “included breakfast” did not start until 9am, and the breakfast consisted of some form of pound cake and coffee.

Nice staff, great location, 2 blocks from the beach. Quiet. Free parking across the street.
The air conditioning is laud. The rug was kinda dirty and the wifi does not work inside the room.
