Lenny, the owner, made the stay unforgettable. After a long day of hiking when I had missed most of the nearby restaurants, I ended up having drinks with him, talking about the area, and eating elk soup he shared with me. It was the kind of genuine, local travel experience that makes a trip memorable.
I wouldn't change a single thing about my stay.

The front desk staff was very friendly, rooms were clean.
Rooms are very small.

It was adequate for us having been so tired when we arrived
Old towels (faded red and dingy)
Very old bedding and pillows
Room had very musty smell. Carpet was very old . Room very cramped with items that didn’t need to be in there. Would suggest keep it very simple.
Remove bench and pillows . Light paint would brighten up room. Plus clean windows and door handles .
Also , place a new lock on door as it was broken and it wouldn’t lock. I placed a chair in front of the door.
Screen door that should have been cleaned and a good lock system
