Home2 Suites By Hilton Lafayette

Home2 Suites is located in the perfect location in Lafayette. You are within walking distance of several amazing restaurants and there is a 7Brew coffee shop across the parking lot. The outside patio has an amazing fireplace and a lot of room to sit outside at night and talk with fellow travelers and make new friends. Home2 suites is also pet friendly and they do not charge you an absurdly high fee (if any) like other “pet friendly” hotels will. They have dog bags available to clean up after your pets and my fur baby had an amazing stay.

The only honest negative words I have about my stay is the sound proofing of the rooms or lack there of. There was a wedding party on the floor I was staying in and at 1 am you could hear them talking in their rooms down the hall, walking through the halls and at one point there was singing? I have stayed at the Homes2 suite near the Indianapolis Airport and I will say those rooms are close to sound proof.

There is not one thing I did not like!

Very nice structure

Very nice hotel with a nice structure, but unfortunately poorly managed. Even before our stay, when I was making the reservation, I tried several times to contact the hotel but never received a reply. In the end, we had to call them directly. Also, when we arrived in the middle of the night we had to make our bed because it was not ready. Housekeeping is scheduled every other day, which we were not informed about, and they also skipped a day. As a result, our room was not cleaned for two consecutive days. During our long stay, the bed sheets were also never changed. When we complained, we were told they had many check-outs that day. If they cannot handle the workload, they should consider hiring more staff. We also asked to speak with a manager.A woman apologized and assured us that our room would be cleaned by 11 the following day and that we would receive some points as compensation. Neither of these things happened. We eventually had to ask the maids directly, as the room was still not cleaned. Breakfast is also poorly managed, with low-quality food and a eating area that did not appear very clean. Overall, the staff are friendly, with the exception of one front-desk employee who often seemed uninterested. It is a shame, as the hotel itself is really nice. With better management and more staff, it could be much better. Unfortunately, it did not meet the standard I would expect from a Hilton chain hotel.
