Historical Villa for families and kids with swimming pool
A 16th century historical villa, Villa Corinna has opened its doors to the refined traveller who appreciate the charme of a many generation privately owned family property with its own original fittings and furniture. The property is set in 2 hectare of Meditarreanean grounds planted with Olives Trees, Palms and Cypresses.
Villa Corinna is located just on the border with Cote D'Azur, 15 minutes from Monaco and 40 minutes from Nice International airport. It has a private infinity pool with sea view and various terraces.
Your Accommodation
You are lodged in the top part of the tower with its own private entrance, a spacious living room with original furniture and a monumental fireplace, a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a very large terrace with a panoramic view of the estate and the sea. In the lower part of the property the owners spend their summer holidays.
On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. All the bedrooms have large windows and plenty of light. From the 2 bedrooms facing East you can enjoy the most amazing sunrise.
On the top floor there is a romantic mansard with its own en-suite bathroom and private terrace which can accommodate 2 people. Named “the 4th Paradise”, the third being the beautiful installation of artist Michelangelo Pistoletto at the Italian-French border, the mansard is also equipped with air conditioning. From its terrace you can enjoy a 360 degrees view which stretches from Ventimiglia to Punta Mortola. On a clear day, you can see the island of Corsica on the horizon!
In the reception room you can listen to the many vinyl records . There is a Television with all the main International channels, news and sports .
In the kitchen there is a dish washer, a washing machine, a microwave, a toaster, coffee machine (Italian Moka) and a squeezer. You will find sugar, salt and coffee. A bottle of water and a welcoming bottle of wine from the region are in the fridge.
An iron is placed in the lower drawer of the wardrobe in the landing of the first floor.
In the dining room you can find dishes, glasses, cups and cutlery.
In the terrace you will find a fully equipped Barbecue for your outdoor cooking. Please ask if you need instructions on how to use it.
Towels for the swimming pool are provided. Please do not take them to the sea.
You are welcome to play ping pong and petanque in the estate!
There are a lot of touristic attractions within 1 hour both on the French and Italian side.

The Boat:
Apreamare is probably the most fashionable boat on the Cote d'Azur. Very comfortable and classy, it is also very speed reaching 30 nots. This allow to easily explore all the beautiful spots of the French Riviera from Menton to St Tropez.
The boat is moored at the Port Garavan of Menton, the last French town before the border with Italy and just 20 minutes from Monaco.
The nicest places to visit are: Punta Mortola and the Balzi Rossi beach (with a very nice restaurant) on the Italian coast.
On the French coast in order of proximity to Menton you will find Cap Martin, Roquebrune, Monaco, Cap d'Ail (nice restaurant on the plage Mala), Cap Ferrat (the fashionable restaurant Paloma), Villfranche and the Bay of the billionaires. Within 1 hour you can reach the wonderful islands of Lerins, just in front of Cannes with a very nice restaurant managed by monks. After that you can reach Cap d'Antibes and St Tropez is around 2 1/2 hours with good sea conditions.

The villa is located in a small town; Latte. It has a supermarket with a cafe/restaurant where you can get all of your groceries and morning coffee. The area is very close to Menton, Monaco and the Alps without the massive price tag of the French Riveria. The villa is huge with a pool overlooking the Med. Definite recommend.

Many thanks to Leonardo for letting us stay in his amazing period family home. We had a wonderful time with both France and Italy on the doorstep. The highlight was the swimming pool and views plus the very well located shop at the bottom of the drive (much needed for 5 hungry teenagers!).
Couple of issues on the first day but most were cleared up immediately by Leonardo.

Sitting on the large rustic terrace overlooking the sea with a cool breeze- It feels like you are in heaven! Excellent pool, friendly hosts.
