Ember Hostel

Staff really pleasant snd helpful. Good location shopping and sightseeing

Kitchen a bit grubby but that’s due to the 20 somethings who leave unwashed dishes snd cutlery

A hot tub.

Not even any free toast for breakfast?

I liked the people on the desk

not much

Loved the character of the old house. The hangout areas were great. The staff were super cool and helpful. I also really liked how many individual bathrooms and shower rooms there were. Loved the privacy curtains on the beds and the shelving with a personal light and plug--nice touch and super helpful.

Even though tidy, everything was just a bit gross and dirty. The photos are what sold me, but they don't show the thin layer of yuck and old weed stink that hits you when you walk in the door. The bedroom where I stayed smelled so awful of feet and sweat, I couldn't even sleep. They just need to get a cleaning crew in and deep clean regularly. Leaving used towels on the bed instead of in a bin might be part of the problem. I love a hostel, but even hostels can be clean.
