Location it’s not far from the N1 road. Fairly cleaned.
Facilities really needs a renovation, some cupboards remained locked, shower doors & curtains unserviceable.

Poor access through the back door past the kitchen. All the creaking floor boards in the passage and our bedroom

The rooms were spacious
When there's a power outage or load shedding, there is also no water. During that time, the property does not provide water in
containers. We had to go buy our own water :(

We were split up in different buildings.
Single room was very tiny
Kitchen was closed but when we looked at the menu the staff mentioned that they checked with owner and would open later, which made it seem like they did not usually operate. Hence we were doubtful about eating there.

Room was very comfortable and clean. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. This is our new halfway stop from JHB to CT

The people working at the venue where so friendly, and the bed in my room was better then most high priced hotel beds, best sleep I had in a week.

The hosts were lovely & welcoming. Our room was great....very comfortable and warm. Lots of space & a large bathroom. And a lovely breakfast to send us on our way. Beautiful historic building & a delightful back garden. Plus safe parking. A perfect place to stay for our half-way stopover between Jhb and Cape Town.

Bun Clody is an interesting old characterful abode in an iconic town.
During our one-night stay there was no electricity, therefore no water on arrival and no electricity or water waking up, nor any on departure. Thank you ESKOM etc. for the blackouts. Hello Mzansi! How dissappointing a South Africa you are!

Animal friendly (I was even allowed to bring my cat).
Staff were amazing. Do a lot of effort to keep people happy.
Showers were too hot or too cold. Something wrong with the regulator I think.

Gary is wonderfully warm and friendly host. He is very enthusiastic and has great plans for the establishment for the future. The place has potential but needs a lot of work

The property is in a bad part of town and does not have secured parking. They did not even have battery operated lights to use during loadshedding

The staff was very friendly, especially the new owner. The food was delicious.
The generator was broken, and we arrived during loadshedding. The water pump works with power...so no water and no power during loadshedding that was inconvenient

Easy to find, clean rooms, friendly people, secure parking, and our doggies were allowed to roam the garden. Gary and the team were fabulous, genuine people who care about their guests.

The host received us like family and the homely atmosphere was just what I we were looking for. After a long trip we relaxed in the shady garden and my fur babies enjoyed it too! Awesome homecooked meals! Bun Clody is worth the sleepover.

room was too small for what we paid and not what we booked- seems we got the store room. luckily it was only for a stop over.

Loved the new owners. Dog friendly. Unfortunately the security light was shining into our room . A rooster crows from 4am. However, the food was amazing and the staff were awesome. I would recommend them but not my room I had.
