Lots of pet hair visible and some windows needed cleaning. Otherwise a great place to vacation.

We really enjoyed our stay. The pool and deck were amazing. Relaxing and watching the waves roll in is just what we needed !! Our first time to Dauphin Island and it didn’t disappoint!

The house was great, it just needs some TLC around the pool area and a better cleaning crew. There was easy access to the beach and everything inside worked even the ac. Would definitely come back to the island.

So many good things to say, but first a PSA unrelated to the property, but needed for the location. Head the riptide flag warnings. The island has a system to communicate riptide levels, we had to watch a US Coast Guard helicopter land right 150 yard from the house on the beach to pick up a young lady on her senior trip that had been pulled out by a rip tide and drown. She died in a local hospital a couple days later. Riptides happen all along the coast, pay attention to the warnings, if it's a bad day, don't get in the water. Stay on the beach, or better yet enjoy the POOL! On to the location. This house is perfect. It was clean when we arrived. One thing to note this property is managed like so many by a rental company, when you book you will be contacted via email by the rental company, if you have questions you will need to reach out to them directly, we didn't get a response via the VRBO messaging center. That said, communication was great and they took care of us. The pool is fantastic and heated, it was perfect on cool days and at night. There were a couple maintenance issues when we identified on the first day, they had Dave the maintenance guy come out same day, he was fantastic and took care of everything immediately. He also took the time to talk with us about restaurant and things to do around the island. He came back a couple days later to fix the valve on the outdoor shower, when we got back he had left us a box of donuts that were amazing! Dave is fantastic, keep him around! There is a house closer to the beach, however you still have clear view of a large section of beach and you only 50-75 yards from the beach, this is beachfront living at its best. There was only one downside to the property, the internet connectivity was pretty terrible. It was impossible to stream a movie without multiple pauses, even connecting on your phone or computer to do anything was really bad. We have to power cycle the router no less than 5-10 times daily. The ISP is a dish network provider. If you are planning on working remotely from this location, it is not for you. I would love to see the owner look into a different ISP, if there is a better option than satellite dish, it should be considered. Thankfully they had a decently library of DVDs so on the rainy days we watched them instead of streaming netflix, hbomax, etc. This is a fantastic place, we hope to stop in again!

Awesome experience we will be back again!! Tons of room the pool was amazing!!! We had 11 people 8 teens and 3 adults with plenty on room!! So close to the beach not crowded. Love love love!!!!!!

The property was wonderful and exactly as described the pool was heated upon our arrival which was great because the ocean is still cold .. Beds were comfortable the island residents were very friendly and all restaurants bakeries were great….. The sunsets were amazing will highly recommend and will certainly be back….

This is our first time to Dauphin Island. My husband and I love to stay places that aren’t too touristy. The house is amazing! There was one day that it rained and we noticed that there was a leak inside the window over the kitchen sink. I let the management know and somebody came out that day. It was a small leak but I just wanted them to be aware and they were very responsive. The views of the Gulf are amazing! We were there celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. We wanted a dog friendly place to stay, and as soon as you walk in you could tell they are dog friendly with all of the decorations! We also love the fact that everything on the island is local. No fast food chains or any of that nonsense. The restaurants had very nice friendly staff and great food! If you were looking to get away from the hustle and bustle, this house and dauphin island altogether are where you should go!

This isn’t like your normal beach trip. If you want to get away and have a relaxing vacation on the beach without having to fight for spot on the beach then this is for you. We had such a great week with our family. Very clean and beautiful property. The pool was a bonus for the little Kids to swim in in the late afternoons after coming back from the beach but not big enough for multiple adults to do much but sit it. Only complaint about the house is I wish there were TVs in all the bedrooms. Most beds were comfortable with nice new comfy pillows. The foosball table would be nice for older kids I guess but ours were younger and we didn’t want to leave them upstairs unattended with fear of getting hit in the face. There actually happen to be a tv in the room with the foosball table but it never got used since we didn’t have anywhere to sit and watch it. My suggestion once the foosball table is no longer in good enough shape would be to put a small L-shaped Sofa there instead so there is another area to hang out, especially if there aren’t TVs in the bedrooms. Plan on cooking or ordering food in because going out isn’t fun especially with a large group. We waited almost 3 hours to eat our first night out and decided not to do that again. A lot of places close early around 4-5pm. There is a really good pizza place and oyster/seafood restaurant that are side by side called Pirates Bar and Grill and Pirates Pizza and wings. Get your pizza delivered but order at least an hour in advance as it took us about an hour and a half the two times we ordered. The Bar and Grill had really good food and service but we had to wait 3 hours with a big party and we got there early at 4:30. I would suggest splitting your party up into groups of 4 because all their tables are 4 seaters or try to get a seat at the bar and order, they have one on the main floor and upstairs as well. You can also order pick up as well. Food is limited on the island and honestly none of the other places we did eat at were anything special so if you are wanting to eat really at really great restaurants every night then Dauphin Island may not be the place for you. I would suggest getting fresh fish from the seafood market and cooking it yourself. The sand is beautiful and the beaches were calm however the water isn’t the pretty blue water you get at some of the other beaches along the Gulf Coast.

The living area and kitchen provided enough space for our group of 8 to enjoy time together cooking, chatting and singing karaoke. We will definitely be repeat guests for many years to come. The quick response we received when the grill ran out of propane was proof that the management company truly strives to provide exceptional customer service.

The location was wonderful steps from the beach and the heated pool - well we won't go again without that! The cleanliness of the property was wonderful. There were a few maintenance issues that the management company were told of but didn't come fix (dishwasher didn't drain, a few sinks were clogged, some stairs had pieces broken). Our family fixed one sink so was a little disappointed in them. But great property. If you want to do a lot of cooking might want to bring your own baking dishes (for casseroles or lasagna) there were none.

Our kids absolutely loved the pool, and we loved that it was behind a gate that could be locked. Everything was very clean, and management was extremely responsive about a few hiccups (things go wrong in rental houses, it just happens. The key is management who will fix it quickly.)Also adding in case anyone else is concerned about social distancing like we were: We usually vacation along 30A in Florida. While the ocean was not as clear here, the sand was really very good, much nicer than I was expecting. There was quite a bit of seaweed, but that happens when there’s not a company there to clear the beach each day. But there were NO crowds. The closest people were 50 yards away, and most days they weren’t even out at the same time we were. Dauphin Island is definitely a great choice for anyone looking to avoid crowds. We also LOVED that it was dog friendly, and our dogs loved lounging on the deck, which also had a gate so it closed off completely. A great place for kids, dogs, families, and anyone looking for uncrowded beaches.

This house is exactly as it is described! It was a great location for two families to enjoy. The house is located right on the beach with fabulous views. The pool was definitely a kid favorite. The house was well stocked with appliances and supplies to have a great time at the beach.

We always love the island but It was especially nice to be secluded during this crazy time. We will be back!
